When disaster strikes, the scene often is one of chaos and grief for the victims. Sometimes it is best for the victims to be removed from the scene to focus on recovery.
The Kanawha Valley Fellowship of Christian Firefighters and local Fire Departments are prepared to assist victims with immediate lodging until further resources can be available. In cooperation with local hotels and eating establishments, disaster victims can be immediately housed to achieve comfort, privacy and dignity. This will enable the victims a staging place for agencies to come to their aid. This service is completely free and donated by area businesses. This service and offerings will be to the discretion of the KVFCF Regional Director and Incident Commander based upon the victim’s needs.
